Most of the time i use google but sometimes i also use dogpile.com.
I prefer Mac OS X comestic and user ability is why superior to Windows, but Linux is great also. I may be a little bias to Macs.

I'm a little bias but I would say apple, they are kind of expensive tho.
Still on my first ps2 only problem i have is that it doesn't play new dvd movies. I hope the ps3 doesn't have these problems.
